Nearly a third of households that receive TV from the phone companies will access these services in the USA by the end of the year, according to ABI Research. What about the content rights?
Many TV providers are capable of offering TV everywhere services to customers, but “securing the rights to broader content distribution is the primary remaining hurdle.” Michael Inouye, from (ABI analyst) said: “Securing the rights to broader content distribution is the primary remaining hurdle, but once standard metrics are developed the content floodgates are expected to open wider.”
The ABI Research also found that beside computer, Apple’s iPad is the most used multiscreen and TV everywhere device.
