Pricewaterhouse Coopers (PwC) released its Global Entertainment and Media Outlook for 2013-2017. As the VideoInk says that report predicts fast grow of OTT technology.
OTT market will be at least two times bigger in four years from now, as internet-connected devices and streaming services will rise simultaneously.
“Whereas OTT streaming content only accounted for 3% of the total entertainment market in both 2008 and 2009, PwC says it accounts for 7% this year and predicts it will rise to 16% by 2017.”
Another prediction on report is that homes will spend more and more money on OTT and subscriptions on TV services (within TV middleware, from TV operators).
